Regn med Penge is a friendly browser app that teaches kids how to count with money in a fun and easy way. It’s very simple to use and easy to implement into the school classes as well as parental teaching

I got asked for help with making the brand new identity and a website which would show their values and product. It also had to appear to their target group – parents and math teachers, as well as kids who can play the game though the website. The new branding is full of curved edges, “moved” outlines and vibrant, happy colors. This simple solution makes Regn med Penge brand friendly, fun and exciting. Clean and simple website and the supporting graphics communicate the educational side of the brand.

After the research and brainstorming phases I had few ideas in mind but in the end we decided to go with a simple type-based logo which let me play with the visual elements of the brand and the “environment” which the logo would appear in.

As Regn med Penge is a math app, I also decided to create a set of math- and money-related icons which could be a distinguishable part of the brand identity. 

For the logo I chose to use the font Nordic Round. The roundness of those letters makes a friendly, warm feeling. It’s playful and childish, just like the app itself.

The elements on the website keep up with the visual identity, eg. buttons, background boxes, and images with icons. The look and feel is clear and fresh, showing the professional side of the brand, as well as friendly and playful with the use of colors, buttons and graphic elements.

The main purpose of the website is to let people try the online app. This is made by providing big call to action buttons which redirect the users to the app itself. Friendly pictures, quotes from both teachers and kids and additional materials subpages build the trust and credibility.
